Filter holder spring for Pullman Filtration876 Basket

The Pullman Filtration Baskets876 are rimless, i.e. they lack the rim that is common with standard sieves, into which the portafilter spring 'lays' to hold the sieve firmly in the portafilter.

However, the rim has disadvantages that occur especially with higher grammages, such as those used in the specialty coffee sector: with a larger fill level, i.e. when the ground coffee goes over the rim, a channeling problem arises that can hardly be compensated for.

Rimless sieves don't have this problem, but they are generally a bit looser in the portafilter because they lack the rim to hold the spring.
Usually it doesn't matter - on the contrary: it's easier to get the sieve out of the portafilter for cleaning. However, if the sieve is so loose that it gets stuck in the brewing group after it has been removed, the spring should be replaced.

The spring supplied here is larger in diameter and holds the screen tighter than most standard springs.
