Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon )
Botanically, the species belongs to Acacia melanoxylon to the acacia genus. Blackwood is mainly found in Tasmania. The heartwood is light brown to reddish-dark brown with distinctive markings. It is a high-quality wood for indoor and outdoor use, in boat building and as wood for turning.

Easy to clean with a damp cloth. Custom engravings with less contrast than aluminum. Pullman hardwood handles are very popular and provide a great contrast to stainless steel machines and worktops.
