The new BigStep Lite: the lightweight of the high-end tamper

The BigStep is the non-plus-ultra among tampers and has not won countless titles at barista and latte art championships for nothing.

With the BigStep Lite, we have succeeded in reducing the weight of the BigStep with the same performance. At 136.5 g, the Lite is only 10 grams heavier than the Titanium, but is much cheaper.  At the same time, the height of the tamper has been reduced to an incredible 9mm - which allows for more comfortable tamping with higher dosages. All features that make up the 'normal BigStep' are of course retained:

Diameter of 58.55 mm, extremely low tolerances of +/- 0.02 mm and therefore an exact fit for the precision screens specially made for the Pullman system. The result is an extremely even puck that is optimally compressed even at the edges of the basketes and excludes channeling from the outset.

Extremely high-quality 440C stainless steel for freedom from wear and best material properties.

Patented 'Step' ensures that, despite the extreme accuracy of fit of the tamper base to the basket, no vacuum is created when lifting after tamping.

Danger: 

Pullman cannot control the wide range of different inner diameters in many brands and weight ratings of precision screens. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the BigStep is compatible with third-party baskets. We therefore strongly recommend purchasing Pullman Filtration Baskets. These are perfectly adapted to the BigStep base and checked by hand.
