Checkerboard is the hallmark of Pullman hardwood grips. It is handcrafted by alternately laminating jarrah and maple pieces and then turning the resulting blank. 

The resulting checkerboard look is a real eye-catcher. The result is a functional, very distinctive handle that is very pleasant to the touch.
